I love the south! Born and raised in North Carolina!

Southerners are always the butt of jokes...and sometimes we deserve it. Ever go into the Wal-Mart in Boone, NC for instance? Like a whole 'nother universe my friend.

Sadly, the south that I know and love is slowly fading away and along with it the values are too. Small towns such as the one I grew up in have gangs now...that's right...GANGS! WTH is that all about?

Doc Hollywood is a very good film that honestly I totally forgot about until I saw that it was being shown on TV. Yes, it does pokes fun at the south, but watch how southern conservative values trump the left coast and win in the end! This film could also mark Michael J. Fox's last good movie.

This movie does have a nude scene and I believe the f-bomb is dropped a few times too, so beware if the kiddies are around!

Benjamin Stone is a young doctor driving to L.A where he was offered a new job as a plastic surgeon in Beverly Hills. He gets off the highway to avoid a traffic jam, but gets lost and ends up crashing into a fence in the small town of Grady, South Carolina. He is sentenced to 32 hrs of community service at the local hospital. All he wants is to serve the sentence and get moving, but gradually the locals become attached to the new doctor, and he falls for the pretty ambulance driver, Lou. Will he leave?

Well...the url www.conservativeflix.com is no more. I have gone back to my original blog address conservativemovies.blogspot.com and changed the title of my blog back to Edge's Conservative Movies.

Why? There comes a time in every bloggers life that he or she must...really remember to repurchase their custom URL. I didn't so...there ya' go.

Not exactly sure what happened to My Movie Music. Over half of them got deleted over the weekend. So if there was a particular piece you liked to listen to and it isn't there...it was one of the 34 that's gone.

Anyway...onto the movies!

I have another survival movie for you and for the fam! Disney's adventure classic Swiss Family Robinson is a great story of survival, leadership, courage, invention...pretty much everything that makes America (or the Swiss I guess) great!

Here is the synopsis from IMDb...

A family in route to New Guinea is shipwrecked on a deserted tropical island. They are forced to remain on the island because of the damage to the ship and the pirates that are roaming the islands. They create a home on the island (centering around a huge tree house) and explore the island and it's wildlife. Plenty of adventure ensues as the family deals with issues of survival, pirates, and the brothers must learn how to live on the island with an uncertain future.

Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World (FOX 2003)

Russel Crowe better be careful or he might go down in history as one of the greatest conservative movie actors of all-time.

Though I have not seen Crowe's Robin Hood as of yet, I hear its anti-government theme is pretty convincing. Crowe, you might remember also was the lead in Cinderella Man another VERY right-leaning flick. A good argument could be made for Gladiator as a great conservative film about the cruelty of government and the courage to stand against it.

So here is another movie starring Crowe titled Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World. The film is pro-military, pro-victory, pro-country, and gives insight on difficult decisions a leader must make.

I love a good survival movie...no matter how old it is.

I read this story The Most Dangerous Game when I was in high school and thought 'I wonder if it was ever made into a movie.'

Well...it was. In 1932. I never watched it until recently and ya' know it was a pretty good one. Yah, the acting was little on the lame side, but as I said earlier...'I love a good survival movie.'

It's easy in life when you're the hunter and not the hunted. Take college football for instance. If you've never won the big game folks expect you to lose. When you win the big game...all is well...then some other team wants to come for you the next week.

As conservatives in today's political climate we are 'the hunters'. Though it may sound strange...we need to be 'the hunted' again. We need to be the big dog on the block once again and become the ones the libs will try to knock off. Success in 2010 is not guaranteed by any means, but I believe we as conservative will succeed.

Can we survive after success? This, I'm not so sure.

Been away from the ol' blog recently. Still trying to catch up with other parts of my life. But I'm back and have a pretty good movie for you all to check out this weekend! This week's movie is Kathryn Bigelow's The Hurt Locker which smoked Avatar (and its director and her ex-husband James Cameron) at the 2009 Oscars. Bigelow even gave a shout out to the troops at the Oscars which I'm sure made a lot of the Hollyweird elite just want to puke in the aisles.

I have to admit as I sat down in the theater to watch this movie, I braced myself for a 2 hour liberal lecture about how war was the worst thing in the world (which it's not not my dear friends...living without freedom... THAT would be the worst thing.) and why our troops are a bunch of sadistic blood thirsty bunch of a--holes.

However, that was not the case. Not at all.

Nile Gardiner from the Telegraph.co.uk wrote an excellent article about the best conservative movies from the last decade. You all might want to make a note that most of the movies he mentions have already been reviewed by yours truly!

Below is what he wrote about The Hurt Locker...

It is a searing and tense war film that has been the surprise hit of the year in the United States. Rent it this weekend! You won't regret it!

Based on a true story...

It's hard to figure Hollywood out isn't it?

They want to preach their liberal ideas, but when they want to make money or (clearing my throat) get Academy Awards...they produce a film like The Blind Side.

Sandra Bullock plays the role of a very right wing, gun totin', NRA supportin' Christian lady who really doesn't take a lot crap from anyone...even her husband played by Tim McGraw. McGraw plays a man that has made his fortune in owning several fast food restaurants.

So libs would think this couple would be the last family on "Erf" that would let an enormous homeless black teenager in their house right?

Right?

But they did!

Now I could tell by watching the movie the writers wanted to add at least some jabs to the GOP in the film. A little bust on Bush there and Kathy Bates playing the liberal Democrat tutor for the kid here. However, the viewer can not escape it. The values from this loving family overwhelm the giant teenager and bring him into a new family and a new life!

What I love about this film the most is seeing this well to do family opening their heart up to this kid. It's like someone told me once...

When you help someone out because you want to, you're being selfish in a way. You're really helping YOU out!

I was...gosh...5 years old when this happened. But I do remember it very well.

I remember watching it with my family on a really cold day. Even though hockey was not a popular sport where I was from, THIS game was important. Why? Because WE were playing THEM.

All I knew was that the Soviets were the bad guys and we were the good guys. My folks told me stories of Olympic pasts where the Soviets cheated their way to gold. I remember being told beating THEM at anything was (and still is) very important.

After the game, I went outside to play basketball with my dad who was still giddy about beating THEM!

The message my parent's taught me that day? Even if we would have lost that game...we're still better.

Ok.

Well, it may be a stretch to call the horror-comedy Zombieland a "conservative" flick, but...

1. It is a story about survival.

2. It has guns...lots and lots of guns.

3. This movie may be the key to living or dieing during an actual zombie attack.

For instance, here is a good rule that you should probably remember and follow...

Rule 4: Doubletap: Carrying a gun is a great idea but it should never be your primary weapon. When you do end up using it for that last minute 'oh s--t' moment remember to double tap. Its an emergency and thats why your using it and not your cricket bat so why skimp? One bullet more in the head will go a long way to ensuring your survival.

Folks, this movie is funny. I mean REAL funny! If you can stand the gore you'll make it through Zombieland and become a fan. I can almost guarantee there will be sequel in the near future.

The horror comedy Zombieland focuses on two men who have found a way to survive a world overrun by zombies. Columbus is a big wuss -- but when you're afraid of being eaten by zombies, fear can keep you alive. Tallahassee is an AK-toting, zombie-slaying' bad ass whose single determination is to get the last Twinkie on earth. As they join forces with Wichita and Little Rock, who have also found unique ways to survive the zombie mayhem, they will have to determine which is worse: relying on each other or succumbing to the zombies.

How in the world did I forget The Truman Show?

Great movie, even if you're not a big Jim Carrey fan. Quite honestly, I thought he did an extraordinary job with this role. Below is from IMDb...

The place he lives is in fact a big studio with hidden cameras everywhere, and all his friends and people around him, are actors who play their roles in the most popular TV-series in the world: The Truman Show. Now some libs might say after watching this Now see? SEE!? Big business is EVIL! A corporation bought Truman and exploited him!

Though this is true in the film I don't recall too many conservatives wishing that government or corporate America control their lives. What gets me about The Truman Show is the discovery of TRUTH and what do you do with the TRUTH?

Throughout the history of the world, billions have been enslaved by dictatorships they once whole-heartedly supported. However, when these people learned the TRUTH it was time to make a plan. It was time to take risks. It was time to either live free or die trying.

The Truman Show also portrays the media in a very dim light...of course we all know that the media is usually fair right? Right?

These are just a few reasons why this movie is so remarkable and if you haven't seen it, please do!

Do you remember the Scott Grady story from the Bosnian War and his magnificent rescue performed by the Marines? Behind Enemy Lines is loosely based on his experiences.

Lt. Chris Burnett, who wants to resign from the Navy, is teamed up with Lt. Jeremy Stackhouse to conduct a reconnaissance mission over war-torn Bosnia, where a peace treaty may put the devastating war to an end. During the mission, they fly their FA-18 off course to check out a suspicious target that turns out to be the site of a mass grave that contains bodies of Bosnian Muslims.

Burnett's commanding officer, Rear Admiral Leslie Reigart, has trouble gaining approval from his own commanding officers...

...to carry out a search-and-rescue mission to save Burnett, who fear that such a move will endanger the peace process.

(Ah yes, wouldn't want a little truth to stop the so-called peace process would we?)

From encountering a major battle in a war-torn town, to mine fields, to Serb soldiers seeking the pilot, and to a highly skilled sniper, will Burnett be able to escape Bosnia, or will he suffer the same fate of his comrade?

You'll feel a lot of frustration when you watch this film, but like Scott Grady the good guys pull it out in the end. I just wish there were more men and women like Leslie Reigart (played by Gene Hackman) in our government and military.

We sure could use them.

If you want to a similar film may I suggest Rules of Engagement with Samuel L. Jackson and Tommy Lee Jones.

MSNBC host Chris Matthews is under fire for commenting on air that President Obama has done so much to heal racial divides that "I forgot he was black" as he watched Obama's first State of the Union address Wednesday night.

Matthews, who appeared on the cable network shortly after the speech, said of the president:

"I was trying to think about who he was tonight. And uh, it's interesting. He is post-racial, by all appearances. You know, I forgot he was black tonight for an hour....

"I was watching, I said, 'wait a minute!' He's an African-American guy in front of a bunch of other white people and there he is president of the United States and we've completely forgotten that tonight -- completely forgotten it!"

Matthews' remarks came as he was praising the president for working to heal racial divides and for delivering a State of the Union address that he described as "profound" and "so in tune with so many problems and aspects of American life."

But the "I forgot he was black" remark quickly set the blogosphere on fire, as hundreds of viewers questioned the meaning and implications of Matthews' words.

"For his idiotic racist comment last night, will Chris Matthews be flogged and pilloried like Imus was?" tweeted "Shoehead."

"When I 1st heard what Chris Matthews said I thought maybe Pres Obama just looked extremely light-skinned 4 some reason," tweeted "QueenMelmendi."

Brent Bozell, founder and president of the Media Research Center, a conservative media watchdog organization, said the remarks reveal a prejudice on Matthews' part.

"What Chris Matthews is saying is that he doesn't believe African-Americans are capable of giving speeches like that."

He said Matthews' remarks "show the absolute contradiction in the liberal argument on color. They purport to want a color-blind society, but are absolutely fixated on doing just the opposite. [Matthews] can't see Barack Obama as being qualified, because he's Barack Obama. He sees him through a lens of being black."

An MSNBC spokeswoman did not reply to a request for comment.

Controversial remarks are not new to Matthews. The on-air host was roundly criticized for calling West Point cadets "the enemy camp" when Obama spoke at the U.S. Military Academy in December.

Matthews also was criticized for saying he "felt this thrill going up my leg" after listening to Obama speak during the presidential primary campaign.

Good gun movie here. I guess if you think about it, Quigley Down Under is a complete reversal of Crocodile Dundee.

Here's an interesting fact. Steve McQueen was supposed to star in this movie after he completed The Hunter in 1980. However, the actor became sick and the movie was scrapped until Tom Selleck was given the role.

Tom Selleck plays Matthew Quigley, a cowboy and rifleman from America with a keen eye and a specially modified rifle with which he can shoot accurately at extraordinary distances. Quigley's weapon of choice is an 1874 Sharps Buffalo Rifle. He answers an advertisement that asks for men with a special talent in long distance shooting, the job being in Australia. On arriving, he is met by employees of the man who hired him, Elliot Marston (Alan Rickman), and is eventually taken to Marston's station in the Western Australian outback.

Marston is a gentleman infatuated with stories of quick-draw gunslingers from the American Old West, believing himself to have been born on the wrong continent, and amazed that Quigley has actually been to Dodge City. Thanks to the help of a group of Aborigines, Quigley and Cora survive to rescue other Aborigines from Marston's men, including an orphaned baby who helps Cora overcome her tragic past. As the story progresses, Marston loses more and more men to Quigley until the final showdown, which leaves Quigley standing to face a hostile British major.

First off, let me welcome you all back for another year of great conservative films! I hope everyone had a great Christmas, some time off, and a great New Year!

Some folks, well...just didn't get this movie. They thought it was too dull or slow. However, if you are into survival movies (such as I am) I think you will enjoy Cast Away with Tom Hanks.

Keep in mind folks...there is no government there to bail ol' Tom out on this island. No "hope and change" just sand, coconut trees, and whole hell of a lot of water. Once his character realizes ain't nobody coming to pick him up...he has to take it up a notch.

So why do I like these kind of movies? I just want to be the guy on the island that can say...Hey y'all! I saw this in a movie once! Wouldn't that be cool? I mean to totally find a neat way to catch fish, or make a compass, or build a raft?

An eight-year-old boy had a younger sister who was dying of leukemia, and he was told that without a blood transfusion she would die. His parents explained to him that his blood was probably compatible with hers, and if so, he could be the blood donor. They asked him if they could test his blood. He said sure. So they did and it was a good match. Then they asked if he would give his sister a pint of blood, that it could be her only chance of living. He said he would have to think about it overnight.

The next day he went to his parents and said he was willing to donate the blood. So they took him to the hospital where he was put on a gurney beside his six-year-old sister. Both of them were hooked up to IVs. A nurse withdrew a pint of blood from the boy, which was then put in the girl’s IV. The boy lay on his gurney in silence while the blood dripped into his sister, until the doctor came over to see how he was doing. Then the boy opened his eyes and asked, “How soon until I start to die?”

I heard this story in church a long time ago, and it has inspired me not only to give blood at the American Red Cross but be an organ donor as well.

This week's film Return to Me is a great film with many outstanding values I think you and your family with enjoy immensely!

And hey...while you're at it this Christmas why not visit the Red Cross and give some blood to folks who really need it? If you're scared of needles, write the Red Cross a check! They need that too!

Well, first off, here's what you DON'T DO!

DO NOT...UNDER ANY CIRCUMCISIONS...LET OUR GOVERNMENT GET INVOLVED IN COLLEGE FOOTBALL.

This is a simple rule that even some of my most conservative friends do not understand. What I find most disturbing is fans of non-BCS teams are running around blind waving their hands in the air...

Finally! We get to break up the BCS monopoly! Finally! We get to stick it to those RICH BCS schools! Finally! The playing field will be level and it won't have to deal with money!

And what are they hearing from Congress...?

Fear not little non-BCS schools. We'll go after those mean ol' BCS tyrants! You just sit back and relax and enjoy your little ice cream cone.

But what our government is really saying...

We're going to make your little pathetic football programs so dependent on us, your great grandchildren won't even know what the hell a football is.

Don't you think our government has more important things to worry about? I mean, like people trying to kill us? Like supporting our troops in Afghanistan and Iraq? Have you ever considered the millions and millions of dollars it will cost the American taxpayer for Congress to hold BCS Hearings(If we haven't already?) Hmmm? Not to mention the delays and lack of progress to solve this issue?

So who's to blame for the BCS?

Go look in the mirror. YOU ARE! You the college football fan, whether you pull for non-BCS or a BCS school, YOU ARE TO BLAME! WE ALL ARE! WHY?!? Because we did not act when the NCAA came up with this Bogus Crap Selection process. We did not contact our athletic directors and say unto them...

If you think for one damn minute I am going to give another dime to this institution while you sit back and watch this $#!% happen you must be out of your FREAKING MIND!!!!!

We, the fans, were afraid to stand up to the NCAA, the conferences, and even our own schools we so dearly love and question their decisions. We figured...hell, they know what they're doing up there, right?

History has proven, without a doubt...THEY DID NOT!

So what do we do? How do we solve the BCS mess?

According to the NCAA, the BCS teams are no different that the non-BCS teams. They all have to follow the same rules and regulations, right?

Well, think of it as each individual school has made an investment and are shareholders in the NCAA. If you're a shareholder of a Fortune 500 company and you invest just as much money as the next shareholder, but for some unknown reason you receive less than other shareholders, what do you do?

What do you do? Call Obama? Your senator? Some government agency? You could do that, but more than likely your gripe will get lost on the bottom of the pile of some bureaucrat's desk.

What if you sold your share and ceased to have any relationship with that Fortune 500 company?

What if the non-BCS schools left the NCAA entirely and formed a new athletic association? Not for just football but all collegiate sports?

I know it sounds crazy, but hang with me here.

But, but, (sniff-sniff) we we need them!

Why? WHY? WHY DO WE NEED THEM?!! Please explain to me why do non-BCS schools need other BCS schools?!? Why does East Carolina need to play UNC and NC State? Why does Southern Mississippi need to play Ole Miss and Mississippi State?

Be-because (sniff-sniff), we need the money and (sniff-sniff) the TV.

Wait a minute...wait a minute...money? MONEY? I thought that was the problem in the first place with the BCS?

If you want to talk about money why couldn't this new athletic association pay players? The NCAA doesn't. Do you honestly think the talent the BCS teams are getting will actually say...

No, no, I won't play for Northern Illinois even though they'll pay me money and I can actually have some sort of life outside of college football and my classes. I'd rather play for Illinois where I can play on TV and maybe go to the Rose Bowl.

Yah right.

But-but (sniff) where are we going to get the money to pay players? The economy is bad.

The economy is bad. However, from what I can tell my non-BCS school that I graduated from is planning an expansion of not only its football stadium but also building a brand spankin' new softball stadium.

Don't think for one minute non-BCS schools don't give pay increases to athletic directors and coaches. As long as you keep buying the merchandise, the hot dogs, the Pepsi's, the tickets, the club dues, the money will always be there...and you know you did it this past fall...even with this BIG BAD economy. DO NOT TELL ME YOU DIDN'T.

Oh yes and try to remember sports fans, the NCAA is still the same bunch of a--holes who go around and tell schools what they can and cannot call their mascot, too.

East Carolina hosted Football Championship Series (FCS) (formerly Division I-AA) Appalachian State in its first game of the 2009 season.

Not a BCS team but a FCS team.

43,279 went to that game in Greenville. Later in the season ECU hosted ACC and BCS member Virginia Tech...43,569 went to that one...but...you know...we need the BCS to like us.

Oh and by the way, this new athletic association will actually have a football playoff and ACTUALLY crown a true national champion at the end of the season! Imagine...no bowl games.

As far as television goes, if it's a big game...it will be on the tube. With the talent these non-BCS teams will receive for paying players and an exciting football playoff to watch instead of the Meineke Car Care Bowl I'd say this is a grand opportunity.

More than likely. however, it's a grand opportunity that no one has the stomach for.

Too risky.

I'd rather just complain and bitch.

Just let the guvment handle it.

True, the government can step in and tell everyone in college football to play nice, but can't we the fans demand more from our favorite schools, sports conferences and the NCAA?

Good movie to watch if you've never seen this...

I wanted to save this movie for December, but folks it's just too good (and too accurate) to keep passing up! Below is one user's comments from IMDb about the film...

Whether you want to waste time seeing Brucheimer and Bay's self-indulgently long Pearl Harbor with its totally extraneous fictional romance -- that's up to you. But whether you see it or not, the real history of the human stupidity on both sides of the Pacific that created the attack is clearly portrayed in TORA! TORA! TORA!

The new DVD edition has insightful commentary by the director plus a documentary about the attack. This film is tensely paced and displays and excellent cast. The Jerry Goldsmith score is kept to a minimum but is very effective. The special FX for the attack are all the more impressive considering they were done before the advent of computer generated FX such as those in Pearl Harbor -- and they equal those of Pearl Harbor.

Tora! Tora! Tora! is the real deal, so go out and rent it! You won't be sorry!

Great show last night everybody! If you missed the premiere of ABC's V you should be kicking yourself...and hard too! Hopefully, Hulu or ABC will have the pilot on-line to watch soon.

So why was V so great? Let me try my best to paint you a picture.

An alien race comes to Erf with a message of peace and hope. The alien's (or V's short for Visitors) appear to be perfect in every way. Plus they are willing to share their technology for the exchange of Erf's water and minerals which they say they need to survive.

Most humans embrace the V's as saviors to the world. In return, the V's invite the humans to their ships healing them of their illnesses...a form of "health care" mentioned later in the program.

However, there are other humans that don't embrace the V's. Of course, these protesters are looked down upon because they are afraid to embrace "change."

And wouldn't you know it? The V's aren't actually human looking after all! They are in fact green lizard looking things with a flesh human shell! Oh and they've been living among us for quite some time as sleeper cells...and they have finally found the perfect time to strike!

Is any of this sounding a little familiar? No?

If you're an Obamabum and you watched last night's program you couldn't possibly walk away from the TV and be happy. In one hour V laid a prime time smackdown on the Obama administration that even the most conservative leader could only dream of making.

And gee whiz...I don't know. I thought the timing to air the pilot was pretty sweet. I mean election night? Really?

Now, the writer's tried to do a little Bush bashing during the show (you'll have to watch the premiere to see if you can catch it.) However, it was too little to late.

Here's the bottom line on V folks. Obama cannot be happy with this program. There is just no way.

Move over 24, V is here to take over as the new right winger TV series!

It's hard to believe, but this movie is actually a true story...

Hopefully, none of us will ever be called in life to make such a horrible decision like the one explained in the story above. However, every day people are faced with decisions that are overwhelming.

Some men and women were called to protect our country and sacrificed not only their own lives but the people that they loved too. Without them "lowering the bridge" our lives would be much different than they are today...perhaps we wouldn't exist at all.

In an age where we praise a President for literally doing nothing and criticize troops fighting for freedom overseas, I sadly find that more and more people are taking our freedoms for granted...or expecting the "bridge to be lowered".

Along with its powerful Christian meaning, Most will also give the viewer an understanding that each and every day people are giving up bits and pieces of their lives so we can truly have a good morning, good afternoon, and good night.

Most is a foreign short film shot entirely on location in the Czech Republic and Poland. It is available on DVD.

The Conservativeflix Movie of the Week is the classic King of Kings. You all know the story, but this time you have to put your right wing glasses on when you watch this! (If you're a lib and you don't have any right wing glasses ask to borrow some from a real American.) Watch the struggle between good and evil, watch the struggle between justice and oppression, between faith and government!

This is a good family film, although you may have to explain certain things to the little ones from time to time.

The music in this movie is incredible! Miklos Rozsa, one of my favorite all-time composers, did one heck of a job with this score! Performing before you (below) is the 2009 University Of Hawaii Summer Concert Band. It is comprised of students around the state with gifted talent in the music industry. This is the theme for the movie King of Kings.

Imagine a society where you health records and medication are 100% controlled by the government.

Oh yah, NOW we're getting scary.

George Lucas' Sci-Fi/Horror classic THX 1138 is a great conservative film about a small group of people who dare to take on a controlling and cruel government.

I have to say I think Lucas was a conservative. He had to be. Whether if he is now or not I just don't know. However, when you consider the values that this film and the Star Wars Saga (Episodes 4 & 5 in particular) no one can deny the anti-government theme they possess.

Now, I'm not gonna lie to ya'. This is a weird ass flick and at times kinda hard to follow. I wouldn't suggest it for a date movie by any means and keep the kids in bed too. However, give it a chance, I think you will be surprised.

The human race has been relocated to a underground city located beneath the Earth's surface. In the underground city, the population are entertained by holographic TV which broadcasts sex and violence and robotic police force enforces the law. In the underground city, society controls all life, all citizens are drugged to control their emotions and their behavior and sex is a crime. Factory worker THX-1138 stops taking the drugs and he breaks the law when he finds himself falling in love with his room-mate LUH 3417 and is imprisoned when LUH 3417 is pregnant. Escaping from jail with illegal programmer SEN 5241 and a hologram named SRT, THX 1138 goes in search of LUH 3417 and escape to the surface, whilst being pursued by robotic policemen.

Government doesn't like to be questioned.

Government doesn't like to be challenged.

When you make a stand against it, you must be prepared to face the consequences.

Kind of like if you destroy the Death Star...they're gonna bring it and bring it like you've never seen it before, son. But that's not the total reason Empire Strikes Back made it to Conservativeflix. Putting your faith in a higher power and NOT government is also a great value to have, and Luke Skywalker learns more about his religion (the force) through the teachings of his Jedi Master Yoda.

However in the movie, Luke makes a critical mistake all of us have done with our faith (especially yours truly)...lack of preparation and training. My friends, it is one thing to call yourself Christian or Jew (or in this case Jedi)...but are you prepared for life's challenges attached to this label? Are you prepared to face evil in Cloud City?

Luke wasn't and got his hand cut off and his ass kicked all over the place.

Empire Strikes Back and the original Star Wars: A New Hope could be the two most conservative movies ever made. If you haven't seen them, obviously you're a Trekkie who has no clue about anything going on in the universe.

Basically the other four movies...just plain sucked, but Return of the Jedi is at least bearable to watch.

I never could find the popcorn or the Easter egg, but I did find THE SHOE in the asteroid field scene... watch below at 2:47...IT'S QUICK!
