Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed
Looks pretty interesting. I did not have a chance to see it in the theater, but apparently now it is available on DVD! Here is the movie's website. As always, your thoughts are welcome!
We're on the same page. I put this one on NetFlix yesterday. I was surprised that they already had it!
I try to avoid movie theaters. I don't like the noise, and I enjoy being able to put a movie on pause when I want to leave the room. A large screen tv makes it better - at least to me - than a theater.
Unfortunately the yourtube link fails to work properly and I got no sound and no movement except when I moved the scene with my cursor.
I'm with Gayle only I avoid theaters period. I have for years. Not only are there too many distractions with noise from rude fools who think themselves the only ones in the theater but the constant cell phones and of course the idiots on the other end who insist on carrying on a conversation rather than going to the lobby where the over priced popcorn and other junk food is there for those who have more money to spend than sense. I fail to see why anyone would wish to enter into a darkened room and track through lord knows what on the floor and sit in who knows what in the seat with one's knees drawn up under the chin in the most uncomfortable position and remain thus for 90 minutes or so. The last movie I attended was the Passion and that will be the last time I enter a theater. The one before that was Toy Story that I took my then very young daughter to see along with a couple of her young friends in Jamestown. I have gotten cheap in my later years and refuse to pay $7.50 per ticket, $2.50 for a 25 cent box of popcorn and $2.00 for a very small watery soda. I can find many more things to spend the $20.00 on that it would cost for two adults to sit in a noisy dark box , in pain and discomfort and midway, like Custer must have thought, What the heck am I doing here?
I prefer, if I am to watch a movie, to do so in the comfort of my home where I can remove my shoes, my shirt and even my pants if I so desire and sit peacefully in my boxers or in my robe while munching on a huge bowl of popcorn, xtra butter and salt, that probably cost me less than 15 cents to prepare and sipping green tea from a very large mug chunked full of ice. Heck I can even go to pause and fix a huge chocolate shake or sundae if I wish. Now try that in a theater. LOL
Thanks, Edge- I keep forgetting to put this in the queue. Looks like a very thoughtful film, another example of unevenly-applied tolerance in our country.
Yup, I'll take watching a movie at home any day. My favorite combination is a bloody mary (or virgin mary, as long as it's spicy) and buttered popcorn... an AMAZING combination. LOL

I've got it at the top of my queue; it should be here in a couple of days.

Dang, ticker...now I'm cravin' a chocolate shake! :-)
This one's in the queue, Edge. Thanks for the reminder!
